Cracklin' Rosie: Jacob de la Rose has been playing well for the IceCaps. Rosey is currently riding a four game point streak (3G-1A). This season he has nine goals and 23 points through 48 games.
New York State of Mind: The St. John's IceCaps continued their success away from Mile One Centre this season as the club went 4-2-0-0 to pick up eight of twelve points on the roadtrip.
Dan(is) the Man: IceCaps goaltender Yann Danis has be solid in his last three starts. Danis lead the IceCaps to wins over Divisional opponents Albany Devils, Toronto Marlies - a shutout and Syracuse Crunch posting a .939 save percentage.
Wednesday, Mar. 8 SYR 4 vs STJ 2 RECAP Goals from Captain Max Friberg and Stefan Matteau were not enough as the IceCaps dropped a 4-2 decision to the Syracuse Crunch. Friberg's goal was his ninth of the season assisted from Julien Brouillette and Jacob de la Rose. Matteau netted his 11th of the year, Brett Lernout had the lone assist. Friday, Mar. 10 STJ 3 vs RCH 2 RECAP St. John's fought off two Rochester leads to sink the Americans 3-2. Jacob de la Rose scored his eighth of the season to tie it at one. Max Friberg scored in his second straight game to tie the contest at two. Bobby Farnham netted his ninth of the year to give St. John's a 3-2 lead at 19:24 of the second period. Charlie Lindgren stopped 18 shots in the win. Saturday, Mar. 11 STJ 3 vs SYR 2 (OT) RECAP Charles Hudon scored 1:40 into overtime as the IceCaps clipped the Syracuse Crunch 3-2. Chris Terry picked up his team leading 23rd goal of the season in the first period. Jacob de la Rose tallied his ninth of the season to give the IceCaps a 2-1 lead in the second period. Yann Danis turned aside 31 shots to win his third straight contest.
