Richards on 14 Day IR, Wheaton to Start

TULSA, OKLAHOMA - The Youngstown SteelHounds announce today that ALL CHL selection and MVP nominee forward Chris Richards has been placed on the 14 day injured reserve list. The veteran suffered an upper body injury midway through the third period in last night's come from behind victory over the Memphis RiverKings. Richards had 39 goals and 66 assists for 105 points this season and was named to the ALL Star and ALL CHL squads. In his place the Hounds have reactivated John Wheaton from the 45 day injured reserve list. Wheaton will be seeing his first action since January 20th when the Hounds take on the Tulsa Oilers at 8:35pm eastern time tonight. In 36 games this season the rookie has seven goals and four assists.
