Hounds do their part and and get Tough Victory at Tulsa

March 24, 2007 - Central Hockey League (CHL) - Youngstown SteelHounds News Release

Saturday night the Youngstown SteelHounds did their part to maintain the chance at the fourth seed as they defeat the Tulsa Oilers 3-2 in overtime.

Tab Lardner scored two goals including the game winner to give the Hounds a much needed victory as Oklahoma City went on to defeat Wichita in a shootout to end their season with 35 wins, one ahead of Youngstown at this point.

The Hounds must get one point against the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs to clinch the fourth seed in the playoffs. The win is their third in a row and a win or an overtime loss will guarantee the Hounds the fourth seed.

The Hounds and Bugs meet at 5:05pm in Bossier-Shreveport on Sunday afternoon with all the action on ESPN Radio 1240-The Fan and SteelHounds.com
