SPRINGFIELD, MA FEB. 18, 2011 ¬"The Springfield Armor announced today that Scottie Reynolds has been selected to participate in the 2011 NBA D-League All-Star game presented by SonoSite. Reynolds, a 6-2 190-pound guard out of Villanova is one of two rookies to be selected to the Eastern Conference team, joining Maine's Deshawn Sims.
" We're thrilled for Scottie to be representing our organization at the All-Star game," Armor head coach Dee Brown said. "Scottie has worked hard this season and he is very deserving of this honor."
Reynolds has averaged 13.7 points, 6.2 assists and 2.0 steals in 30 games (29 starts) this season. In his last 10 games, Reynolds has averaged 12.2 points and 8.5 assists while turning the ball over just twice per game. Reynolds also dished out 18 assists in the Armor's Feb. 4th loss to Bakersfield, which represents a high in the NBA D-League this season.
The fifth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by SonoSite will take place on Saturday, Feb. 19 on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas and will be televised live on NBA TV at 5 p.m. (ET). The fourth annual NBA Development League Dream Factory Friday Night presented by Haier will take place at Center Court at NBA Jam Session presented by adidas on Friday, Feb. 18, at 11 p.m. (ET). All three events ¬" the Slam Dunk and Three-Point Shooting Contests and the second annual NBA D-League Haier Shooting Stars ¬" will stream live on NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.
