DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers wide receiver Darius Reynolds earns AFL honors as the Week 19 Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week, the League office announced yesterday.
Reynolds (6-2, 205, Iowa State) caught 11 balls for 180 yards in an outstanding performance last Saturday night. His seven touchdown receptions tied the Barnstormers franchise single-game record, previously set by former wide receiver Jesse Schmidt (2011). Reynolds has hauled in touchdown passes for the Barnstormers in nine consecutive games as one of the team's top receivers.
For the 2014 season, Reynolds has caught 117 balls for 1,774 yards and 49 touchdowns.
