Quad City Mallards News Release

Moline, IL – The United Hockey League has named Jeff Reynaert of the Quad City Mallards as the league's Goaltender of the Month for February.

Reynaert, a rookie from Western Michigan University, was nearly unbeatable last month, going 6-1-0 with a 1.71 goals against average and a .948 save percentage. He allowed just one goal in four of his seven games, and just two goals in two others. He was named UHL Goaltender of the Week for Feb. 3-9.

While Joe Dimaline was out of action, Reynaert started five straight games Feb. 5-14 and won them all, giving up a total of just seven goals and extending his personal winning streak to six in a row.

The Mallards acquired Reynaert, a 23-year-old native of Sterling Heights, Mich., in a Jan. 13 trade with the Kalamazoo Wings, along with Kalamazoo's first- and second-round picks in next Tuesday's UHL North American Amateur Draft. The Wings received defenseman Dan Hodge and center Shawn Roed.

Since joining the Mallards, Reynaert is 8-2-1, with a 2.18 goals against average and a .932 save percentage. Overall this season, he is 15-8-4 overall, leads the UHL with a .925 save percentage and ranks second with a 2.46 goals against average.

Reynaert and the Mallards host his former team, the Kalamazoo Wings, Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. It's $1.50 Beer Night at The MARK of the Quad Cities. The same two teams match up Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Kalamazoo.
