New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution will open its 2009 home schedule when the club hosts Western Conference foe FC Dallas at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, at Gillette Stadium. The game will be televised locally on TV38, while local radio listeners can catch the action live on WRKO 680 AM.
This will be the first of two meetings between the Revolution (1-0-1, 4 pts.) and FC Dallas (0-2-0, 0 pts.) this season, and the only one at Gillette Stadium. The Hoops will welcome the Revs to Pizza Hut Park on Wednesday, Sept. 30, to close out the season series.
Although each team has played just a pair of matches in the young 2009 campaign, New England and Dallas have had quite different starts to the season. The Revs took four points from back-to-back road matches, earning a 1-0 win in San Jose (March 21) and a 1-1 draw in New York (March 28), while the Hoops dropped consecutive home games, losing 3-1 to the Chicago Fire (March 21) and 2-0 to Chivas USA (March 29).
The Revolution will be aiming to continue its recent success against FC Dallas, as the Revs have won nine of the last 10 regular-season meetings between the two clubs, including the last five overall and the last five at Gillette Stadium.
