FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution defender and Cranston, R.I., native Michael Parkhurst is among the 20 players U.S. Men's National Team head coach Bob Bradley has recalled to camp to begin preparations for the team's 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Guatemala on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in Commerce City, Colo. Kickoff at Dick's Sporting Goods Park is set for 8 p.m. ET, and the match will be shown live on ESPN Classic and Galavision.

Parkhurst has been training with the National Team in Colorado for the past week, as he was originally part of a 19-man group invited to a training camp that ran from Nov. 12-15 in Commerce City. The 24-year-old central defender is one of 15 players recalled from that group to remain with the team for Wednesday's match, while an additional five players were added from European clubs and the Chicago Fire, which was eliminated from the MLS Cup Playoffs last week.

Parkhurst, who was recently honored with Major League Soccer's Fair Play Award for the second consecutive season, has made three appearances for the U.S. National Team. The 2008 Revolution Defender of the Year most recently appeared for the full national team on Jan. 20, 2008, playing the second half of the U.S.' 2-0 victory against Sweden.

A three-time MLS All-Star and the 2007 MLS Defender of the Year, Parkurst most recently represented his country at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as he was named one of three "overage" players on Under-23 head coach Peter Nowak's 18-man roster. Parkhurst played all 270 minutes as the U.S. went 1-1-1 in group play and did not qualify for the medal round.

The U.S. will host Guatemala in the last CONCACAF Semifinal Round qualifier on Wednesday night in what will be the first-ever World Cup qualifier in the state of Colorado. The Americans have already secured their spot in the final round of qualifying along with Costa Rica and El Salvador, with the remaining three teams to be decided on the final match-day. Guatemala currently sits three points behind Trinidad and Tobago in Group 1 and must win to have any hope of advancing to the next round.

The draw to determine the placement of teams in the CONCACAF Final Round hexagonal for 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifying will take place on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. local time in Johannesburg, South Africa. Teams will learn their opponents as well as home and away dates for all 10 Final Round qualifiers that will determine the three automatic berths for CONCACAF in 2010 in South Africa.
