York Revolution News Release

(York, Pa): The York Revolution has reached the Atlantic League Playoffs in four of their first six seasons, including the last three. As the organization chases its third league championship in 2013 under new Manager Mark Mason, the roadmap to that goal is out.

For the third time in four seasons, the Revolution will begin the season at home this year on Thursday, April 18 against the Bridgeport Bluefish at 6:30 p.m., beginning the '13 campaign with a four-game weekend series. The Atlantic League regular season will begin and end a week earlier than prior seasons.

The "War of The Roses" rivalry will be re-kindled for the first time May 10-12, when York visits the Lancaster Barnstormers at Clipper Magazine Stadium. The cross-river rivals have met in the divisional round of the postseason the previous two years, with each club taking a series. A season ago, York and Lancaster played to a 10-10 tie in the regular season series, and each won a split-season division crown.

Lancaster 's first visit to York will be May 17-20. The next meeting will be June 28-30 in Lancaster, before shifting back to York July 5-7. The weekend of August 9-11 Lancaster will visit York for four games, including a day-night separate admission double-header at Sovereign Bank Stadium on Saturday, August 10. The "War of The Roses" will conclude in Lancaster August 23-25.

The Revolution's longest continuous homestand will be their second of the season, when they host Camden, Long Island and Somerset in 10 games from April 30 through May 9. Their longest continuous roadtrip will be between June 24 and July 4, when they travel to Sugar Land, Lancaster and Bridgeport.

The first half of the season will end on June 30 at Lancaster, after 70 games have been played. The second half of the season will begin on July 2 in Bridgeport. The Atlantic League All-Star Game will be Wednesday, July 10 at Regency Furniture Stadium in Southern Maryland.

The Atlantic League Divisional Playoffs will begin on Wednesday, September 18, and the Atlantic League Championship Series will begin a week later on September 25. All series will be best-of-five. Should the championship series go the full five games, the final scheduled day of the Atlantic League season is Sunday, September 29.
