FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution midfielder Eric Klein has been called-up to the United States Under-20 Men's National Team for its upcoming training camp in San Pedro Del Pinatar, Spain from October 6-15, 2025. Klein is among 12 MLS-based players included in Head Coach Rob Valentino's roster comprised of players born in 2006 or later.

During camp, the U-20s will play a pair of matches at Pinatar Arena, facing the Finland Under-21 side on Friday, Oct. 10 (9:00 a.m. ET) before taking on Elche B on Tuesday, Oct. 14 (10:00 a.m. ET). Klein is one of five Revolution players thus far called up for international duty during the October window, joining Peyton Miller (U.S. U-20 - FIFA U-20 World Cup), Matt Turner (United States), Allan Oyirwoth (Uganda), and Dor Turgeman (Israel).

Additionally, four players from the New England Revolution's Pro Player Pathway have received international call-ups for the October FIFA window. Revolution II forward Alex Monis (Philippines) and midfielder Cristiano Oliveira (United States U-17) will join their respective national teams, while Revolution Academy forwards Makai Wells (United States U-17) and Paolo Tornberg Ayala (El Salvador U-16) have also been selected for international duty.

Klein, 18, earns his first youth international call-up at any age level. The 2024 Revolution Academy Player of the Year is completing his first professional season after signing as the 15th Homegrown Player in Revolution history on May 23 and making his MLS debut eight days later. For the first team, Klein has logged a pair of substitute appearances in regular season play and saw action in both matches during the 2025 U.S. Open Cup campaign.

The Homegrown midfielder made his professional debut with Revolution II in MLS NEXT Pro in July 2023 and was the team's leader in minutes played in 2024 before inking his first contract last fall. This season, Klein has appeared in 12 MLS NEXT Pro matches, tallying one assist. Prior to joining the pro ranks, the Manheim, Penn. native joined the Revolution Academy in 2022 as part of the club's residency program.

Monis joins the Philippines Senior Men's National Team for the final round of AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers. Monis and the Philippines will take on Timor Leste in Australia on Thursday, Oct. 9 (5:30 a.m. ET), before returning home for the second leg on Tuesday, Oct. 14 (7:00 a.m. ET). The Philippines enter the third-round qualifiers in second place of Group A with an unbeaten 1-0-1 record through the opening two matches of the final round. The top team in each group will earn an automatic berth to the 2027 AFC Asian Cup, set to take place in Saudi Arabia (Jan. 7 - Feb. 5).

The 22-year-old winger owns 14 international caps and two assists with the Philippines senior squad. Monis most recently made three starts with the Philippines U-23 side in AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers last month. Now in his second season with Revolution II, Monis has logged one goal and one assist through 15 regular season MLS NEXT Pro appearances, including eight starts.

Oliveira, a Somerville, Mass. native will join The Stars & Stripes for a domestic training camp in Fayetteville, Georgia at the U-17 level, under Head Coach Gonzalo Segares. The camp is the team's last gathering before Segares selects his final 21-player roster for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup this November in Qatar. This past February, Oliveira tallied one goal across three appearances with the U.S. U-17 squad at the Concacaf U-17 Championship.

The Revolution Academy alum earned his first team debut in May, appearing in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 match at Rhode Island FC and scoring the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to send New England into the Round of 16. In July, Oliveira tallied a goal in his starting shift in the 2025 MLS NEXT All-Star Game in Austin, Texas. With Revolution II, Oliveira has recorded five goals and one assist over 33 MLS NEXT Pro career appearances, including 27 starts.

Wells, 16, receives his second selection to represent the U.S. at the U-17 level, and will travel to San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain for an international training camp. A recent addition to the Revolution Academy, Wells previously took part in a domestic identity training camp last month with the U.S. U-17s. In MLS NEXT action, Wells has logged one assist across two appearances to open his debut Revolution Academy campaign. The forward made his professional debut with Revolution II on August 31 against Chicago Fire FC II, appearing off the bench as a late second-half substitute.

Tornberg Ayala, 16, earns his first call-up to the El Salvador U-16 Men's National Team, to participate in the U-16 UNCAF FIFA Forward Tournament (Sept. 30 - Oct. 10) at the Ernesto Villa Sports Center Stadium in Guatemala City. In the 2024-25 MLS NEXT campaign, the Revere, Mass. native recorded seven goals and a team-high 10 assists with the Revolution Academy's U-16 side. Now with the U-18s, Tornberg Ayala has tallied one goal and one assist over four matches played in the new campaign.
