
Revolution Extend eMLS Pro YoungggCarter for 2023 eMLS Season

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution have extended Massachusetts' own Carter Theogene, a.k.a. YoungggCarter, as the club's official eMLS competitor for the 2023 eMLS season. Theogene, a homegrown esports pro from Allston, Mass., returns for his second season as the Revolution's eMLS professional.
After an accomplished amateur career spanning more than five years, Theogene began his professional esports journey as the Revolution's eMLS competitor in 2022. The 28-year-old made his official esports debut in the 2022 eMLS League Series 1 presented by Coca-Cola before scoring 21 goals in 12 matches in the 2022 eMLS League Series 2. He then competed in 2022 eMLS Cup presented by Coca-Cola, where he finished third in his group with a 2-4-0 record. Entering online qualifiers set to begin in January 2023, Theogene has secured a Top-64 ranking in division rivals in the North American region.
"Representing my hometown club in eMLS and playing this great game against some of the best FIFA players in the world has been a dream come true," said Theogene. "I improved a great deal over my first eMLS campaign and am thrilled to go into my second eMLS season stronger than ever. I am looking forward to an amazing season where I will give my all to perform and earn results for the Revolution."
Theogene was raised in Allston, Mass. and currently resides in Brockton. A full-time engineering student who also works as a chess teacher and software developer, Theogene plays semi-professional soccer in Massachusetts. Originally born in Haiti, Theogene is fluent in four languages: English, Spanish, French, and Creole.

The eMLS 2023 season schedulewill feature world-class EA SPORTS™ FIFA 23 competitors, captivating competition, and engaging MLS content enhancing the cultural esports and soccer connection. Highlighted first with two marquee League Series events in New York City in January and February, the season concludes at the eMLS Cup on March 12 in Austin during SXSW.
