Revolution and Blue Crabs Schedule Doubleheader
Published on May 9, 2009 under Atlantic League (AtL)
York Revolution News Release
Due to persistent rain showers from May 3 through 7, the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs and York Revolution were only able to play three games of a scheduled four-game series at York's Sovereign Bank Stadium during those dates. The teams and the Atlantic League announced plans today to make up the game.
Because the Atlantic League's first half ends before Southern Maryland visits York again, the game will be made up at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, Maryland, home of the Blue Crabs.
The Revolution are next scheduled to travel to Southern Maryland from June 1-3, originally a three-game series that is now four games. On Tuesday, June 2 the teams will play a doubleheader, and both games will be seven innings long. (Atlantic League rules for a doubleheader.) Southern Maryland will be the home team for both games.
Game one of the doubleheader on June 2 will begin at 6:05 p.m., and the gates at Regency Furniture Stadium will open at 5 p.m. There will be an approximate 20 to 30 minute intermission in between the two games.
All tickets for the 2009 season are now on sale.
