(June 6, 2011. San Ramon, CA) The North American Baseball League, one of the premier independent professional leagues on the continent, announced today that Calgary Vipers outfielder Drew Miller and Edinburg Roadrunners right-handed pitcher Aaron Guerra have been named the Rawlings Players of the week of June 5th.

Calgary Vipers outfielder Drew Miller has been selected as the Rawlings North American League Player of the Week for the week beginning on June 5th. Miller collected 12 hits in 26 at-bats for a .462 batting average last week. In addition, Miller belted 4 homeruns and drove in 11 runs for the Vipers. He is widely considered to be the face of the Calgary franchise, as he has been on the roster for every single Vipers game dating back to 2005. Last season, he led the Golden Baseball League with 94 RBI. Miller is currently 2nd in the North American League in RBI (20) and batting average (.431) and ranks 3rd in homeruns (7) . The Calgary Vipers are 9-8 on the season and currently sit in second place in the Northern Division.

Edinburg Roadrunners right hander Aaron Guerra has been selected as the Rawlings North American League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 5th. Guerra threw 15 innings and collected two wins in two starts, including one complete game, giving up just one run in each start. He collected 13 strikeouts and did not walk a single batter for the Roadrunners. 2011 marks Guerra's 6th season with Edinburg, although he did spend part of 2009 with the Schaumburg Flyers before returning to the Roadrunners for the 2010 season. Guerra (3-1) is tied for the league lead with 3 wins and ranks second in strikeouts (25) and ERA (1.20). The Edinburg Roadrunners (7-12) currently sit in fourth place in the Southern Division.
