
Reserve Tyndale Leads Energy Past Springfield 110-99

SPRINGFIELD, MA - Reserve forward Mark Tyndale poured in 30 points to lead the Iowa Energy to a 110-99 victory over the Springfield Armor Friday in Springfield. The win was Iowa's third of the season over Springfield in as many games.
Iowa raced out to a 61-49 halftime lead as Energy coach Nick Nurse played all 11 players in the half. Springfield cut the lead to two points with 6:43 remaining in the game, but Tyndale scored 12 points in a 3:22 span to put the game away for the visitors.
Iowa's Earl Barron added 14 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
Springfield's Morris Almond, who leads the D-League in scoring, finished with 34 points in the game. Former Energy guard JamesOn Curry added 9 points and 16 assists for the Armor.
The Energy lead the NBA D-League with a 12-2 record. Springfield falls to 1-11 on the year.
Iowa's road trip continues with a game at the Ft. Wayne Sunday at 4pm Central. The Energy's next home game is Saturday, January 9th , their annual "70's Night Throwback Game". This year's throwback game will take place at Veteran's Memorial Auditorium in downtown Des Moines.
