CHICAGO, Ill. - Sacramento Republic FC General Manager Todd Dunivant has been nominated for the 2019 National Soccer Hall of Fame, the U.S. Soccer Federation announced last week. Voting has begun and will run through Monday, April 1, with the results being announced at a later date.

"Todd's achievements speak for themselves and he couldn't be more deserving of this nomination," said Republic FC Owner Kevin Nagle. "More than a proven winner on the field, Todd is a great leader and person. We couldn't be more proud to have Todd be a member of our club."

"I am truly honored and humbled to be nominated among these greats in our sport," said Republic FC General Manager Todd Dunivant. "Any success I have ever had in my career is due to an incredible support system that includes my family, teammates, coaches, support staff, ownership and fans. The game of soccer has given me so much and I count myself lucky to be a part of soccer's continued growth in this country."

Dunivant enjoyed a stellar career in Major League Soccer from 2003 to 2015, winning five MLS Cups, the 2005 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and two Supporters' Shields, as well as earning selection to the MLS Best XI in 2011. During his 13 seasons in the league, the defender featured for the San Jose Earthquakes, Los Angeles Galaxy, New York Red Bulls and Toronto FC, playing a total of 282 regular-season games and 25 playoff games. Dunivant also earned two caps to the U.S. Men's National Team, both in 2006.

The Hall of Fame voting committee includes all past and present Men's and Women's full National Team coaches, all active MLS and NWSL head coaches with a minimum of four years of experience as a head coach at the highest professional level in the United States, MLS and NWSL management representatives, the MLS Commissioner and NWSL President, U.S. Soccer CEO/Secretary General, U.S. Soccer President, designated media members and all Hall of Famers.

More information on the Hall of Fame selection process is available via U.S. Soccer's official release.

Established in 1950, the National Soccer Hall of Fame is dedicated to the sport of soccer in America by celebrating its history, preserving its legacy, inspiring its youth and honoring its heroes for generations to come.
