
Energy FC Defender Nicolas Taravel Tears ACL

Defender Nicolas Taravel will undergo surgery after suffering a torn anterior cruciate ligament, General Manager Jason Hawkins announced today.
Taravel returned to Oklahoma City following the incident, which occurred in the first half of Sunday's match against Sacramento Republic FC. He was evaluated by doctors at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City and an MRI scan was performed.
Taravel, an offseason signing from Grenoble Foot 38 of France's Ligue 2, had played every minute of the season, making 18 clearances and completing 83.3 percent of his passes.
Energy FC are away to Reno 1868 FC this Saturday at 8 p.m. CDT. They will return home to face Portland Timbers 2 Saturday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. CDT at Taft Stadium.
