Renovations Unveiled for Orlando Pride Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Pride has unveiled photos and videos of the newly renovated Orlando Pride Training Ground at Sylvan Lake Park. The Seminole County facility, formerly the home of Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer, underwent a full renovation in order to meet the needs of the Orlando Pride. With the transformation and City's move to Osceola County, the Pride become the first team in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) to have its own exclusive training facility.

"Having an exclusive training ground for the Pride is a game changer for both the soccer operations and culture of our Club," Executive Vice President Amanda Duffy said. "The decision to renovate this facility to give the Pride its own space and elevated support is a testament to the Club's deep commitment to its NWSL team and its investment in the team's success. We're excited to make this our home for years to come."

The Orlando Pride Training Ground features a gym, meal room, analysis room, players' lounge and a locker room designed to replicate the team's locker room at Exploria Stadium. In addition, the Pride have two Club-maintained, grass training fields that are exclusively used by the team.

The complex also includes office space for the Club's technical and medical staff, and will have exclusive areas for the team's media operations.

Due to COVID-19 and NWSL Phase 3 guidelines, limited areas of the facility are currently being used, however the Pride facilities remain closed to the media and the public.

The Pride will continue training at the Orlando Pride Training Ground this week, preparing for the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup presented by P&G and Secret. Orlando is set for four games in the preliminary round, first kicking off against the Chicago Red Stars on June 27 at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah.
