
Rennie Curran Named CFL Defensive Player of the Week

(Edmonton) - Eskimos import middle linebacker Rennie Curran earned Gibson's Finest CFL Defensive Player of the Week honours for Week 16.
The Georgia product recorded a career-high 11 tackles and his first CFL interception in last Saturday's game against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
In 13 games (six starts) this season, the first-year Eskimo recorded 47 defensive tackles, nine special teams tackles, an interception, a quarterback sack and a blocked punt. Curran made his first CFL start in Week 8 against Toronto in place of injured linebacker J.C. Sherritt.
