In a preview of what was to come, the Renegades scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth against Cristian Hernandez. Aldenis Sanchez rocked a two-run double to right center and scored on an Aaron Palensky double. Eduardo Torrealba chased Palensky home with a base hit to grow the lead to 5-0.

In the bottom of the seventh, Hudson Valley blew the game open against Carlos Francisco and Jonathan Hughes. The Gades sent 16 batters to the plate scoring 10 runs in the inning, including nine before an out was recorded. The explosion was highlighted by a two-run inside-the-park home run by Eric Wagaman as the Renegades took a commanding 15-0 lead.

The BlueClaws got on the board in the top of the eighth, when Uziel Viloria hit a solo home run off Charlie Ruegger to cut the deficit to 15-1. Carlos Gomez closed out the game with a scoreless ninth inning.

Eight of the nine Renegades batters collected at least one hit, with Sanchez finishing 3-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, three RBIs and two stolen bases. Wagaman and Torrealba also contributed two hits apiece.
