Rome Renegades News Release

ROME, Ga. –Rome Renegades kicker, Brian Tracy set an all-time NIFL record with seven successful field goals on Sunday, May 8 against the Fayetteville Guard. Tracy's seven kicks are the most in any indoor league to have been successfully made, and it ties the NFL record.

Since Tracy joined the Renegades organization in April he has successfully kicked for over 240 yards, and the Guard seems to have a positive kicking effect on Tracy. His debut as a Renegades kicker was in the first match-up against the Guard in Fayetteville on April 16, and his 23 yard field goal in the last seconds of the game gave the Renegades the points they needed to take a 60-57 win over this division opponent. Sunday's match-up was an even greater kicking performance from Tracy. He was flawless in the 1st half with 6 field goals, the longest measuring 48 yards in the beginning of the second quarter. And then once again, Tracy kicked a 13 yard field goal in over time to not only clench the win for the Renegades, but to also set a league record, tie the NFL record, and successfully kick more field goals in one game than any kicker in any indoor league!

The Renegades will look to Tracy's kicking to help ensure a win over the Montgomery Maulers on Saturday. Tune into Q-102 for all the play-by-play action. Kick-off time is 8:30 EST/7:30 CST. The Renegades will return to Rome to take on the Lakeland Thunderbolts on Friday, May 20. Any lucky fans that may have caught those record setting field goal balls from Sunday's game will want to be sure to get have Tracy autograph it! Pre-game show will begin at 6:30 p.m., kick-off is at 7 p.m., and the "Meet & Greet at Centerfield" follows all the Wall2Wall action.
