Reign's Condon Receives First AHL Call-Up

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced that goaltender Mike Condon has signed a professional tryout agreement with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League.

Condon, a 22-year-old goalie from Needham, MA, appeared in four games for the Reign, 3-1-0-1, and recorded a 1.48 goals-against average and 0.943 save percentage including a shutout, the rookie's first since turning pro, and fourth all-time.

Before joining the Reign the 6-foot-2, 195-pound goaltender spent four years between the pipes at Princeton University. While with the Tigers, Condon played in 53 games with an overall goals-against average of 2.67, 0.917 save percentage, and three shutouts.

In other Reign goalie news, Chris Carrozzi has been activated from reserve.

Reign Drops:

The Reign made history last weekend advancing past the first round of the Kelly Cup Playoffs with a 4-0 series sweep over the Utah Grizzlies. Ontario will play either the Colorado Eagles or the Idaho Steelheads at home to start the second round. The first game is scheduled for Friday, April 19 at Citizens Business Bank Arena. If necessary, the second round will return back to Citizens Business Bank Arena to play Game 6 and 7 on Tuesday, April 30, and Wednesday, May 1, respectively.
