Reign Welcome Return of Dusty Collins

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, announced the re-signing of former Reign / Manchester Monarch center, Dusty Collins to a standard contract for the 2010-11 season.

Collins, 25, played 24 games in a Reign jersey to start the 2008-09 season. He racked up 14 points (6g, 8a) and 34 penalty minutes before he was called up to the Manchester Monarchs where he recorded six points (4g, 2a) and 15 penalty minutes in 16 contests. He played the final 34 games of 2008-09 and the entire 2009-10 season as a member of the Manitoba Moose. In 104 games with the Moose, Collins scored 12 points (9g, 3a) and logged 127 penalty minutes.

The Gilbert, Arizona native played for the U.S. National Under-18 team from 2001-2003 before playing four years of NCAA hockey at Northern Michigan University. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Collins in the 5th round (163rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to joining the Reign in 2008, Collins won the 2007-08 Central Hockey League championship as an Arizona Sun Dog (Phoenix Coyotes' affiliate). He scored 53 points (23g, 30a) in 63 regular season games and seven points (2g, 5a) in 17 playoff games.

The start of the Reign's third season will be on Saturday, October 23, 2010 against the Stockton Thunder at 7:00 PM. Mini-plans are on sale now for as low as $85 and full-seasons start at just $325.
