"It feels great to be nominated, but to actually be one of the starters makes me feel even better," stated Reid. "I look forward to representing not only the Saints, but the city of San Angelo at Laredo this January. I look forward to also representing Coach Edwards, as he deserved to be there also." Saints Coach Ray Edwards came in second place behind Lubbock bench boss, Chris Dashney, on being named the Southern All-Star Coach. The CHL All-Star starters are voted on by individual teams coaches, public relation departments and local media, from a list of nominees given to the league by the team coaches. "It is always great to have players make the All-Star team and even better to be named starters," said Saints Head Coach Ray Edwards. "Not only does it showcase the talent of these individuals, but gives a sense of pride to the players' organization."
The remaining players on the Southern team will be picked by Lubbock Coach, Chris Dashney, and the Central Hockey League and will be announced in the coming weeks. The CHL All-Star Game will be held at the Laredo Entertainment Center in Laredo, TX on January 12th.
