Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Sunday that goaltender Cody Reichard was loaned to the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins. A 5'11", 165 lb. 27 year-old native of Celina, Ohio, Reichard is 5-6-1-1 overall this season for the Fuel in a team-leading 15 appearances with a 3.35 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage.
Reichard did not appear in a game for the Chicago Wolves in his first AHL assignment of the season, but in nine career AHL appearances for the Houston Aeros and the Iowa Wild, the third-year professional is 4-2-1 with a combined save percentage of .911.
In response to Reichard's assignment, Indianapolis native Jordan Tibbett was added to Indy's roster prior to the Fuel's 3-1 road loss to the Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday as an emergency back-up goaltender. In one appearance for the Fuel this season, Tibbett, a 6'1", 185 lb. former Mercyhurst College backstop, is 0-1-0-0 with a 3.09 goals-against average and a .833 save percentage.
