Reed Promoted To Triple-A New Orleans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that RHP Evan Reed has been promoted to New Orleans. In a corresponding move, RHP Jordan Conley has been transferred to Jacksonville from Jupiter. RHP Kyle Kaminska has been transferred to Jacksonville from New Orleans.

Reed is heading to New Orleans after appearing in 27 games with the Suns in 2012. Reed compiled a 3-1 record with a 2.34 ERA and recorded 12 saves out of 15 save opportunities while striking out 43 and walking 11 batters.

Conley, a relief pitcher for Jupiter in 2012, is in Jacksonville for the first time of his career. Conley recorded a 3-0 record with a 1.51 ERA, 31 strikeouts and 12 walks in 35.2 innings of work in Jupiter. Conley will receive a number upon arrival.

Kaminska makes his way back to Jacksonville from New Orleans. Kaminska appeared in one game while in New Orleans this last time around. He threw 1.1 innings and gave up three runs on four hits. He is 4-3 with a 4.18 ERA in 20 appearances with the Suns in 2012 with 27 strikeouts to seven walks.

The Suns roster is now at the maximum of 25 allowed by the Southern League.
