
RedHawks Sign Clark

FARGO, N.D. - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have signed OF Kevin Clark to a contract for the 2010 season. Clark will be in Fargo when the RedHawks open Training Camp on Thursday.
Clark, 24, joins the RedHawks after spending four seasons in the Colorado Rockies organization. He spent the majority of the 2009 season with the Tri-City Dust Devils of the Northwest League (A), where he batted .260 with 11 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 28 RBIs and 32 runs scored in 59 games. He also appeared in 12 games for the Modesto Nuts of the California League (A), where he batted .241 with three doubles, four RBIs and four runs scored.
In his career, Clark has batted .255 with 62 doubles, six triples, 34 home runs, 156 RBIs, 163 runs scored and 52 stolen bases in 300 games. He was originally selected by the Rockies in the sixth round of the 2006 draft.
In other RedHawks roster news, freshly-signed LHP Kyle Carr has signed a contract with the Philadelphia Phillies and has reported to the Phillies extended spring training in Florida to await assignment. The RedHawks have also released LHP Jeff Icenogle and RHP Tim Lavigne, both of whom joined the RedHawks during the 2009 season.
