RedBlacks Richie Leone Named CFL All-Star

OTTAWA - The Canadian Football League announced, today, that Ottawa REDBLACKS punter Richie Leone has been named a 2023 league All-Star.

Leone, 31, has now been named a CFL All-Star for the fifth time in his outstanding career, also earning the honour in 2015, 2016, 2019, and 2021. The Roswell, Georgia native joins Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive lineman Willie Jefferson as the only five-time All-Star on this year's list.

Now a veteran of seven CFL seasons, and four with the REDBLACKS, Leone appeared in all 18 games for Ottawa in 2023, totalling 5,567 punt yards, including a a pair of 74-yarders.

Receiver Justin Hardy, defensive lineman Bryce Carter, and defensive back Brandin Dandridge, joined Leone on the CFL East All-Star squad, last week.
