
RedBlacks Re-Sign Salmon, Jenkins, Williams and Norman

OTTAWA - The Ottawa REDBLACKS re-signed linebacker Shaheed Salmon and defensive lineman Shaneil Jenkins, who are back for a second campaign in Ottawa, while receiver Malcolm Williams and linebacker Dwayne Norman, who had signed ahead of the cancelled 2020 season, have both re-upped.
American linebacker, Shaheed Salmon
In five games played with the REDBLACKS in 2019, Salmon recorded three defensive tackles and four tackles on the special-teams. The Samford University product joined Ottawa in 2019 after spending some time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. During his senior year at Samford, Salmon finished second on the team with 93 tackles, including 50 solo tackles, in only 11 games.

American defensive lineman, Shaneil Jenkins
Jenkins arrived in Ottawa prior to the 2019 season. In three games played with the REDBLACKS, Jenkins has recorded four defensive tackles. In 2016 he was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos after the NFL Draft and went on to sign for the Dallas Cowboys, the Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets.

National receiver, Malcolm Williams
Williams signed as an undrafted free agent with the Toronto Argonauts in 2016. He played in 14 regular season games, finishing with 14 receptions for 153 yards. Williams played in both post-season games that year and won his first Grey Cup championship following the Argonauts' victory in the 105th Grey Cup game. In 2019, Williams was signed by the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He played in five regular season games for the Bombers and was on the practice roster while the team won the 107th Grey Cup. Williams signed with the REDBLACKS in February 2020.

American linebacker, Dwayne Norman
Before joining the REDBLACKS organization in 2020, Norman spent three years in Calgary. In nine games played with the Stampeders, Norman recorded one defensive tackles and six tackles on the special-teams. Norman was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2016, and attended training camp. He then signed a futures contract with the Oakland Raiders in 2017, where he attended the Raiders' mini-camp. Norman played 49 games over four seasons (2012-15) at Duke. He was named third-team all-Atlantic Coast Conference following his senior season.
