Ottawa RedBlacks News Release
OTTAWA - The 2021 CFL season is on and, now, it's official: the Ottawa REDBLACKS will return to action August 7 when they visit the newly-renamed Edmonton Elks at Commonwealth Stadium.
A bye week follows the season opener for the REDBLACKS, who will pay Saskatchewan a visit before making a triumphant return to TD Place for Ottawa's home opener against the BC Lions on August 28. The home opener will mark the first CFL game at TD Place since November 1, 2019.
In all, the 14-game CFL schedule, released Tuesday, will see the REDBLACKS host three Saturday games at TD Place this summer, with one 7p.m. start time and two 4p.m. games on October 16 and November 6.
Ottawa's home schedule also includes two editions of Friday Night Football on September 3 against the rival Montreal Alouettes, followed by the Calgary Stampeders on October 29.
Ottawa will close out their home schedule on Saturday, November 6 when the Toronto Argonauts come to town, while the REDBLACKS regular season finale comes on the road against Montreal on November 19.
