RedBlacks Announce 2024 Theme Game Schedule

OTTAWA - Ahead of what's going to be a year of celebration for the Ottawa REDBLACKS, the team has today announced their theme game schedule for the 2024 CFL season.

Ottawa's 10th anniversary season gets started on June 13, in their Week 2 Opening Night matchup against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Fans will be able to get their first glimpse of the 2024 REDBLACKS, as the team dons a new look, with an RCAF fly-over before kickoff. Also in attendance will be 2016 Grey Cup Champion, and Canadian Football Hall of Famer Henry Burris.

June 24 will serve as this season's Canada Day Game, when the REDBLACKS host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at 7:00pm, and RNation can look forward to the yearly fireworks spectacular, as part of an exciting evening of football. Also on the docket is a live musical performance, to get the festivities started.

As part of this season's anniversary celebration, the REDBLACKS will hold their All-Decade Game on August 24, when they take on the BC Lions at 7:00pm. It will be an evening for RNation to reminisce on all the unforgettable moments of the team's first 10 years, with appearances by fan-favourite alumni throughout the night.

On September 7, when the REDBLACKS face the Toronto Argonauts at 1:00pm, it will be Family Day at TD Place, with fun and activities for both kids and adults throughout the game. The afternoon will also serve as a birthday celebration for the REDBLACKS' beloved mascot, Big Joe, so there will be no shortage of party atmosphere at the stadium.

Finally, when Ottawa closes out their regular season on October 25 against Hamilton at 7:00pm, the focus will be placed solely on the fans, on RNation Night. The REDBLACKS know how lucky they are to play in front of the best fans in the CFL, and are eager to show their appreciation in the season finale.
