MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds rallied late Thursday on Opening Night to beat Oklahoma City 4-3 in 10 innings at AutoZone Park.

With the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th inning Casey Rowlett drew a walk from RedHawks reliever Derrick Turnbow to force in Tyler Greene from third base and give the Redbirds their first Opening Day win since 2005 when the team beat Oklahoma 1-0. Memphis trailed by a run entering the ninth inning but Jarrett Hoffpauir's sacrifice fly scored Rowlett, who entered the game as a pinch runner earlier in the inning, to tie the game. Jon Jay and Allen Craig each had two hits to lead the ‘Birds. Oklahoma City was paced by Ben Harrison and Greg Golson, who both had two hits.

Chris Perez earned the win in relief for the Redbirds with two scoreless innings. Memphis starter Mitchell Boggs gave up one run on five hits over six innings. Turnbow was pinned with the loss after walking four batters in the 10th inning. RedHawks starter Doug Mathis allowed two runs on six hits with four strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Redbirds and RedHawks will square off tomorrow night with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Memphis will send right-hander Adam Ottavino to the mound to make his Triple-A debut while Oklahoma City will counter with Texas' top prospect Neftali Feliz.
