
Redbirds to Hold #Twinterview with Joe Kelly

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Memphis Redbirds will hold an interview via Twitter (Twinterview) with St. Louis Cardinals pitcher and former Redbird Joe Kelly at 4:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, December 20.
Fans are required to follow the Memphis Redbirds (@memphisredbirds) and Kelly (@Joe_Kelly_Jr) on Twitter in order to view the conversation. Topics such as the offseason, 2012 MLB playoffs, coach movement, the farm system, and general baseball topics will be discussed during this time.
In order to follow along and participate live on Twitter, fans are asked to submit their questions for Kelly by tweeting to @memphisredbirds with the hashtag #twinterview.
Kelly posted a PCL-leading 2.86 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 12 starts for the Redbirds last season before having his contract purchased in June and finishing the season in St. Louis. Initially filling in for the injured Jaime Garcia in the St. Louis rotation before later transitioning to the bullpen, the right-hander tied for 5th among National League rookies with 107 innings pitched and was 9th with 75 strikeouts. His 3.53 ERA also ranked 2nd among NL rookies with 100 innings pitched or more. Kelly was drafted by St. Louis in the third round of the 2009 draft out of the University of California at Riverside.
