Redbirds Dropping Easter Candy from Helicopter

MEMPHIS, Tennessee - Highlighted by an Easter candy drop from a helicopter, the Memphis Redbirds have made AutoZone Park a prime destination for Easter fun and celebration on Sunday, April 16.

After the game, kids ages 12 and under will be allowed onto the field to hunt for Easter candy, which will be dropped from a helicopter onto the outfield in a one-of-a-kind experience. To help gather the goodies, kids will receive a new-logoed Redbirds Easter pail to take home afterwards.

Fans may also purchase a special ticket package that includes brunch with the Easter Bunny in the Home Plate Club and a Dugout ticket to see the Redbirds take on Oklahoma City, plus the opportunity to play catch on the field before the game. The special brunch and on-field catch will take place from noon-1:30 p.m. Tickets for the Easter package are $35 per person.

The menu for brunch includes:

- Scrambled Eggs with Cheese, Bacon, Country Sausage

- Tequila Flank Steak, Red Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans

- Belgian Waffles

- Carved Ham with Spicy Maple Syrup

- Ice Cream Sundae Bar

- Bloody Mary Bar and Mimosas

- Salad Bar

- Seasonal Fruits

- Assorted Danishes and Bagels

- Deviled Eggs

- Sodas and Water

Game time on Easter Sunday is 2:05 p.m.

Prairie Farms Ice Cream Sundays and Kids Run the Bases Return Beginning with the game on April 16, Prairie Farms Ice Cream Sundays will return to AutoZone Park for the 2017 season. The first 2,500 kids ages 12 and under will receive an ice cream treat upon entering each Sunday, courtesy of Prairie Farms Dairy. In addition, excluding the game on the 16th that features the postgame candy drop, kids will be able to run the bases following each Sunday home game.
