Red Wings Launch Bruce Bettering the Community Campaign

ROCHESTER, NY-The Rochester Red Wings are proud to announce the launch of the "Bruce Bettering the Community Campaign," an initiative to support local veterans and honor their service to the nation. Headlining the campaign is BRUCE, the beloved bat dog of the Red Wings, who is stepping up to carry on Milo's legacy of making a difference in the community.
Partnering with two esteemed local organizations, HONOR FLIGHT OF ROCHESTER and the VETERANS OUTREACH CENTER, Bruce and the Red Wings, are committed to raising funds and awareness throughout the 2024 season.
JOSH SNYDER, Bruce and Milo's owner, expressed his excitement, stating, "I'm ecstatic to be carrying on Milo's legacy in making a difference in the community with Bruce and his 'Bruce Bettering the Community Campaign.'"
RICH STEWART, President of Honor Flight Rochester, lauded the initiative, saying, "Bruce the Bat Dog will be very helpful in continuing our missions, making sure that we leave no veteran behind. The 'Bruce Bettering the Community Campaign' will make a big difference. Thank you, Bruce!"
LAURA HELTZ, Executive Director of the Veterans Outreach Center and US Army veteran, commended the partnership, noting, "There's nothing more American than baseball, and when it comes to honoring our nation's heroes, we have a strong partner in the Rochester Red Wings."
President of Flower City Group, STEVE SCHULD, emphasized the collective commitment to the community, stating, "Commitment to community is not just a pledge; it's a promise we renew every day. As partners in the 'Bruce Bettering The Community' initiative, we stand shoulder to shoulder, dedicated to honoring our veterans."
In addition to their generous support, FLOWER CITY GROUP will sponsor two Meet & Pet events on JULY 5 and SEPTEMBER 5, along with a Bruce Replica Jersey giveaway to the first 500 fans on September 5. Flower City Group will also match donations made during the Meet & Pet events.
Furthermore, a portion of the proceeds from all Bruce merchandise sold this season will be donated to the campaign.
Fans are encouraged to show their support by purchasing Bruce merchandise and participating in campaign events throughout the season.
