GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Shreveport-Bossier Captains ended the best regular season in franchise history on another high note, as they swept the Grand Prairie AirHogs with a 5-3 win at QuikTrip Park on Sunday night, ending the season with a franchise-record 11-game winning streak.
For the third game in a row in this series the Captains (58-37, 29-19 2nd half) scored first, and for the second night in a row it was in the first inning. Palmer Karr and Andres Rodriguez then each hit ground balls to first to move Perry over and in, giving Shreveport-Bossier a 2-0 lead.

In the fifth, Shreveport-Bossier retook the lead when Robert Perry doubled down the line in right, and came around to score when rightfielder Aaron Garza and second baseman Antoin Gray were each charged with errors getting the ball in.
In the sixth, the Captains got another unearned run off Schmidt, when Jorge Alvarez knocked in Andres Rodriguez from second after Rodriguez had reached on an error. They scored one more in the seventh on an RBI single by Garcia off former Captain Marcus Salmon.
Prihoda gave up one more run in the sixth, leaving after that frame to get his first Captains win and his seventh overall.
