Red Claws Win Thrilling Opener

OKLAHOMA CITY - November 14, 2014 - The Maine Red Claws erased a 17-point deficit to take their first lead of the game in the 4th quarter, then pulled away for a thrilling 111-105 season-opening road win.

The Red Claws (1-0) lit it up from downtown, setting two team records along the way. Maine made 18 three point field goals, breaking its team record of 16. The Claws attempted a whopping 48 three pointers, shattering the team record of 35.

Chris Babb led the way with 22 points and 7 rebounds for Maine. Jermaine Taylor, playing in his first NBA D-League game since tearing his ACL in the second game of last season, finished with 20 points in 32 minutes.

Rookie Tim Frazier finished with 18 points, including 12-for-12 from the free throw line. Christian Watford's three pointer late in the 4th put things away. Watford ended up with 16.

Oklahoma City (0-1) led by 15 at halftime, but Maine out-scored the Blue 70-49 in the second half. The Red Claws poured in 41 points in the 4th quarter alone. Semaj Christon led Oklahoma City with 32 points.

The Red Claws now travel to Fort Wayne on Sunday. Maine's home opener is next Friday, November 21 vs. Canton.
