Red Claws Waive Lewis and Bassett

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that Armon Bassett and James Lewis have been waived by the team. The training camp roster currently stands at 13 players.
The team will travel to Augusta tomorrow to play a preseason game vs. the Springfield Armor at the Augusta Civic Center. Tip off is a 7 PM, and tickets are available at the Augusta Civic Center Box Office, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling (207) 626-2400. The Augusta Civic Center Box Office is open 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Following the game, the entire Red Claws team will remain on the court to sign autographs.
The Red Claws will open the regular season this Friday, November 19 with the first of two back-to-back games with the Austin Toros. Opening night will feature a half-time performance by the nationally-known dunk team, the Rim Rockers, and the first 1,500 fans will receive rally towels, courtesy of the Law Offices of Joe Bornstein. On Saturday, November 20, all fans in attendance will receive magnetic schedules, courtesy of Unitil and the Woodside One Wheelers of Topsham will perform at half-time. Both games tip off at 7 PM and great seats remain.
