Red Claws Announce Final Pick-A-Seat Weekend

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, will give fans one final sneak peek at the brand new parquet floor at the Portland Expo Building. From 10 AM - 3 PM on September 4, 5 and 6, current season ticket holders will have the opportunity to check out the view from their seats while those thinking about purchasing tickets will have the opportunity to "try it before you buy it."
Fans will also have the opportunity to win their seat. Any fan in attendance who is able to sink a shot from center court will win a season ticket for the 2009-10 season. Several fans came close at the July Pick-A-Seat event, but no one successfully sunk the shot. Red Claws' season tickets have become a hot commodity as the expansion team continues to outpace all other teams in the 16-team NBA Development League in tickets sold and revenue. The team is closing in on the 1,200 mark for tickets sold and recently began a successful campaign for group tickets, with three full games already sold out. Currently only season and group tickets are on sale, with individual tickets to be made available for purchase in October.
"Our initial goal was to reach 1,200 season tickets, and we will reach that mark with three months left to go before the season," said Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings. "We continue to be amazed at the excitement that surrounds this team and the tremendous support we continue to receive from the fans, the media and the corporate community."
