SECAUCUS, NJ (July 30, 2009) - Red Bull New York announced today that it has waived midfielder Khano Smith.
Smith, 28, has played in eight games this season for New York, starting in six. He was signed by the Red Bulls during the off-season on Feb. 12 from Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for allocation money. The Bermudian made his Red Bulls debut on March 28 vs. New England at Giants Stadium, and provided the cross that caused a Revolution own goal in the 1-1 draw.
