
Red Bulls Travel to West Coast to Battle Los Angeles FC in Nationally Televised Game

HARRISON, N.J. - The New York Red Bulls (7-4-5, 23 pts.) travel to California to battle Los Angeles FC (9-3-3, 30 pts.) in a nationally televised game on Sunday, June 26 at Banc of California Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. ET with coverage on ABC and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 2 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Stefano Fusaro will carry the Spanish play-by-play responsibilities, beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET.
This will be the third overall regular season meeting between the two teams with each team winning one match a piece. The Red Bulls are coming off a 3-0 win against NYCFC in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals and currently ranks second in the Eastern Conference. LAFC are unbeaten in their last three MLS matches, most recently tying Seattle Sounders, 1-1, on May 28. LAFC ranks second in MLS in expected goals this season with 28.08, while the Red Bulls rank third with 26.58.
The Red Bulls have posted a 5-2-1 record in MLS on the road this season and have scored 14 goals, which ranks tied for first in MLS. New York are 9-2-2 in their last 13 MLS road matches, outscoring their opponents, 19-11, in those matches. Since 2014, the Red Bulls have won 44 games on the road, which is the second most in MLS during that timespan.
Midfielder Luquinhas added his seventh goal across all competitions in New York's 3-0 win over NYCFC in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals. The Brazilian earned MLS Player of the Week for Week 15 for his performance against Toronto FC on June 18. Luquinhas has scored in back-to-back matches across all competitions and currently ranks tied for seventh among MLS midfielders in goals scored this season.
Following Sunday's match, New York will return to Red Bull Arena to host Atlanta United FC on Thursday, June 30. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG GO, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
