Sacha Kljestan lifts Orlando City SC (1-1-2, 5 pts) past the New York Red Bulls (1-1-1, 4 pts), 1-0, on Saturday night at Red Bull Arena. Orlando City snapped New York's league unbeaten streak of eight matches (6-0-2), dating back to last season.
New York dropped its first league home match since July 28, 2018 against Columbus Crew SC. The unbeaten streak spanned seven matches, dating back to last season.
The Red Bulls were held scoreless at Red Bull Arena for just the 21st time in league play in 153 total league matches at RBA.
With a scoreless draw late into the second half, Orlando's João Moutinho sent a low pass across the face of goal. Dom Dwyer redirected just slightly for Kljestan, who crashed in and finished to the near post in the 73rd minute.
New York is 16-17-10 all-time in the month of March. New York has scored 61 goals in March and allowed 59.
