Recreation Ballpark Featured in Baseball America's "Great Parks"

VISALIA--Recreation Ballpark has received multiple accolades since its dramatic 2009 makeover, and it received another one this month, as Baseball America selected the stadium for its annual "Great Parks" calendar.
The photo, taken by Chris Henstra, is a panoramic shot of Rec Park at night, with the distinctive red barn, the striking right field renovations, and half of the main grandstand in view. The picture accompanies the month of May in the calendar.
Baseball America receives hundreds of photo entries for its calendar each year; pictures are judged on a combination of photo quality and ballpark aesthetics. This is the first time that Recreation Ballpark has been featured.

Visalia opens their 2011 season at home on April 7th against Bakersfield.
