Record Crowds Oh So Close to Knocking out Power

(Summerside PE) The Storm finished up their season playing to a record crowd of 4064, it was a heartbreaker of a finish losing 103-102.

The Storm came out strong outshooting Oshawa 28-18 by the end of the first. Oshawa kept the storm working throughout the next three quarters, and it came down to a nail biting finish for the win. Top performances from the Storm went to Mike Williams with 25 points, he also lead in rebounds with 16. For Oshawa, Brandon Robinson led the way with 28 points.

The giving of from Storm continued tonight, with the final cheque presentation from MRSB for $7202. This was the money raised for PEI Minor Basketball through a fundraising partnership. Also present was the Easter Seals ambassador Luke Gaudet who threw up the ceremonial tip and also was presented with a cheque for $2100. This was for funds raised from Storm ticket sales through Tim Horton's locations on the Island.
