TORONTO, ON - The Toronto Marlies topped the St. John's IceCaps 3-1 on Saturday evening at the Ricoh Coliseum. Trevor Moore scored the lone first period tally for the Marlies in a penalty-filled first frame. The Marlies would add two more goals in the second before Keegan Lowe potted his first in an IceCaps uniform to get St. John's up on the board. Max Friberg and Stefan Matteau picked up the helpers on Lowe's goal. Both teams went scoreless in the third for Toronto to take the win. IceCaps' netminder Charlie Lindgren made 18 saves, while Marlies goaltender Antoine Bibeau made 26. The IceCaps rematch the Marlies tomorrow afternoon (4:30pm NST) before heading to Syracuse to face the Crunch on Wednesday.
