RECAP - Claws Pound out 15 Hits in 8-3 Win over Rome

LAKEWOOD, NJ - Eight BlueClaws had hits, and seven had multi-hit games as the BlueClaws pounded out 15 hits in an 8-3 win over Rome on Sunday afternoon at FirstEnergy Park, their 3rd straight win.

Ranfi Casimiro (2-4) allowed a run on two hits in six innings to get his second win of the season. In the process, Casimiro struck out eight, a new career high.

The BlueClaws scored three times in the first inning on an RBI single by Jiandido Tromp, an RBI single by Mitch Walding, and a Willians Astudillo SAC fly.

They added two more in the 4th when Pullin hit a two-run double with the bases loaded. Deivi Grullon, who had two doubles in the game, doubled in a run in the 5th and Pullin hit his 4th home run of the year in the 6th.

Casimiro has now allowed just two runs over his last 12 innings pitched and has thrown six innings in his last two starts for the first two times this year.

Pullin went 2-5 in the win and drove in three while Mitch Walding had three of Lakewood's 15 hits. Carlos Tocci, Pullin, Walding, Samuel Hiciano, Deivi Grullon, and Enmannuel Serra all had two hits for Lakewood.

The BlueClaws have now won three in a row, their second three-game winning streak of the season.

The series continues on Monday night at 6:35. BlueClaws RHP Tyler Viza (2-3, 3.73) opposes Rome RHP Daniel Cordero (0-0, 7.59).
