OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Rebel of the National Lacrosse League announced today the signing of free-agent defence specialist Niall Maynard. The 24-year-old Maynard played 10 games last season for the Columbus Landsharks. The Rebel released forward Dan Marohl to make room for Maynard on the club's 23-man roster. Ottawa hosts the New Jersey Storm at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 1 in National Lacrosse League action at the Civic Centre (Lansdowne Park).
