Real Salt Lake News Release

REAL SALT LAKE TO HOST 2014 JERSEY EVENT ON MARCH 4 AT RIO TINTO STADIUM

Real Salt Lake has announced that it will host its 2014 Jersey Event on Tuesday, March 4 at 6:00 p.m. MT at Rio Tinto Stadium. RSL will put its re-designed jerseys on sale at the event, which will also feature a walkthrough of the team's newly remodeled locker room and a fan meet-and-greet with RSL Head Coach Jeff Cassar and several Claret-and-Cobalt players.

The first 100 fans at the event to purchase a 2014 Real Salt Lake home jersey will receive a numbered certificate to commemorate the first-ever purchases of the new uniform. The event is part of Major League Soccer's second-annual Jersey Week, a concept celebrating the art, detail and nuance behind every club's jersey.

The March 4 event will only be open to a very limited number of Real Salt Lake fans. Reservations to the event will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis, with RSL Season Ticket Holders getting the first opportunity to RSVP to the event. The general public will be given a chance to RSVP to the event only if any reservations remain available following the RSL Season Ticket Holder RSVP period.

Information on how RSL Season Ticket Holders can RSVP to the event will be distributed via the team's weekly season ticket holder newsletter later on Monday.

In addition to celebrating RSL's newly re-designed jerseys, the March 4 event will also commemorate Real Salt Lake's groundbreaking jersey-front partnership with LifeVantage. RSL and LifeVantage (NASDAQ: LFVN) announced last October that they had partnered to form one of the largest jersey-front sponsorship deals in MLS history. The 2014 MLS season will mark this first year that the LifeVantage logo will appear on the Claret-and-Cobalt's jerseys.

RSL CONCEDES SECOND HALF GOAL IN 1-0 LOSS TO COLORADO RAPIDS IN DESERT DIAMOND CUP GROUP STAGE

Real Salt Lake fell 1-0 to Colorado Rapids on Saturday night in the club's second Desert Diamond Cup match.

Real Salt Lake conceded in the 69th minute. Colorado MF Dillon Serna started the chance, sending in a high cross from the left flank. Serna's ball fell to the feet of Colorado FW Deshorn Brown, who collected in the right side of the area and buried a 10-yard shot past RSL GK Lalo Fernandez.

Real Salt Lake had one of its better looks of the match in the 49th minute, when some quick passing on the right flank between Velasquez and FW Joao Plata found MF Kyle Beckerman at the top of the 18-yard box. Beckerman laid the ball off for Morales just outside the area, with the Argentine playmaker running onto the ball and curling a left-footer toward the bottom left corner that Colorado GK Clint Irwin kept out with a sprawling save.

RSL - which subbed DF Nat Borchers on for DF Chris Schuler at halftime - changed its remaining 10 players in the 62nd minute. The second group conceded seven minutes after coming on, with Serna finding Brown for Colorado's winner in the 69th.

Real Salt Lake's had a final chance at an equalizer in stoppage time. Referee Kevin Stott whistled Colorado GK Joe Nasco for violating the six-second rule, awarding RSL an indirect free kick a yard inside the penalty area. Unfortunately, RSL couldn't make the chance count, with DF Abdoulie Mansally unable to sneak his effort around Colorado's wall.

Real Salt Lake will resume Desert Diamond Cup action on Wednesday, Feb. 26 when it will take on FC Tucson at 6:00 p.m. MT at North Stadium at Kino Sports Complex. Wednesday's match will be streamed live on www.RealSaltLake.com and www.MLSsoccer.com .
