
Real Salt Lake Shuts out Minnesota in Scoreless Draw

ST. PAUL, Minnesota - Real Salt Lake (4-4-6, 18 points) earned its second consecutive shutout, blanking Minnesota United in a scoreless draw on Sunday at Allianz Field.
Andrew Putna made seven saves to earn his third shutout of the season and second in five days after a 2-0 win over the LA Galaxy on Wednesday. It was RSL's sixth shutout in 14 matches this season.

Real Salt Lake outshot Minnesota 5-2 in the first half, but neither team was able to get on the scoresheet as Putna made one save and Dayne St. Clair stopped two long-range shots to keep the match scoreless heading into halftime.
Putna made two early saves on Emanuel Reynoso in the opening minutes of the second half. RSL would press for the winner throughout the half, but neither team was able to break the stalemate and RSL left with a point in a scoreless draw.
UP NEXT: Real Salt Lake will return home to face LAFC on Sunday, October 3 at Rio Tinto Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. MT.
