Real Salt Lake News Release

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake DF Kwame Watson-Siriboe underwent successful surgery on his right knee on Thursday to repair a torn and ruptured right ACL and torn right meniscus. The surgery was performed by team orthopedic surgeon Dr. Andrew Cooper at Salt Lake Regional Hospital in Salt Lake City. Watson-Siriboe will miss six to eight months.

Watson-Siriboe, 26, suffered the injury early in the RSL Reserves' scoreless draw at USL Pro side Phoenix FC on Saturday.

A fourth-year pro, Watson-Siriboe made seven appearances - all starts - in MLS play for RSL this year. He has 19 appearances and 17 starts in regular season play and one MLS Cup Playoff start since being acquired by the Claret-and-Cobalt last June in a trade with the Chicago Fire.
