HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs host Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Wednesday, September 9. Kickoff at Zions Bank Stadium is set for 8:00p MT and can be watched LIVE on ESPN+ and locally on the KSL TV app.

The Monarchs last played their regional rivals on August 1 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The match ended in exciting fashion with Monarchs defender Taylor Peay scoring a header in the third minute of stoppage time with an assist from James Moberg to steal the full three points. Several days before that the two sides faced one another in the first professional sporting event to have fans since COVID-19, the match ended in a 3-3 draw with goals Andrew Brody, Kyle Coffee and Peay.

The two clubs are completely even through sixteen regular-season head-to-head matches all-time with a 7-7-1 record and a zero goal difference. The Monarchs will look to tip the scales their way on Wednesday night with a second-consecutive win on the season and a second-consecutive win over Switchbacks FC.
